About Dr. Mary Ann Huang

Mary Ann Huang, MD, FAASLD, is excited to be a part of Peak Gastroenterology Associates, serving communities throughout Colorado with offices in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Salida, Denver, Woodland Park, and Parker. Dr. Huang specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology while focusing on cirrhosis and liver transplant patients. She also has a particular interest in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatitis C, autoimmune liver disease, and medical education.

As a Chicago, Illinois native, Dr. Huang earned her degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. She went on to complete a residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Huang further developed her skills by completing fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She also obtained her Master of Science in clinical research design and statistical analysis from the University of Michigan.

Dr. Huang has spent the last 12 years working primarily as a transplant hepatologist with the University of Michigan at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and Beaumont Hospitals in Michigan. She has published several articles in notable peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Huang has received many awards and accolades such as Top Docs Hour Detroit Magazine (liver specialist) 2010-2011, 2013-2015 and Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor 2015.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Huang enjoys spending time with her family. She pursues adventures in downhill skiing and mountain biking. Dr. Huang is a retired Detroit Derby Girl member.
