About Dr. Stephen Ford

Stephen Ford, MD, is a highly skilled physician and a board-certified pain medicine specialist. He works with patients at Peak Gastroenterology Associates, which has six state-of-the-art clinics in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Salida, Denver, Woodland Park, and Parker, Colorado.

Dr. Ford graduated with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Michigan in Dearborn, Michigan, where he was the president of the pre-medical society and sponsored a seminar on AIDS. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Dr. Ford began his clinical training with an internship at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan. He then completed an anesthesia residency at the University of North Carolina Department of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He served as chief resident during the last year of his residency, where he was responsible for overseeing 32 anesthesia residents. 

Dr. Ford is certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He’s also a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a member of the Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesiologists, and the Society of Pain Practice Management.

Before joining Peak Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. Ford established and staffed the pain clinics at several hospitals, surgery centers, and medical centers across Colorado. He looks forward to continuing his work with the community of Colorado at Peak Gastroenterology Associates.
